What makes life worth living for?

Posted by angelofsoul Posted on: 07/25/08

What makes life worth living for?

Is it our families? Our friends? I've thought about this question for a long time. And I still can't figure it out. I used to believe that the purpose of life was to live each day as if it were your last. I used to not be afraid of death. What changed?
I want to have a family someday. I want to find true love. But what is motivating me to do so. Honestly, nothing. Maybe there is no purpose of life. Maybe there isn't anything that makes life worth living for.
what do you think makes your life worth living?

  • The little things, life is worth living for the little things. That perfect summer's day when the wind blows softly through the trees, a child's laughter, the beauty of a flower in bloom, a joke shared between two friends, the feel of butterflies in your stomach when you meet that special someone, the little things, it's all about the little things.

  • Hi Angel, most often, people do not know their true purpose until it is upon them, even if planning out and achieving many things. Consider a guy, any guy, he can be successful having done everything he's suppose too, to get there. Or a guy who's life isn't so succesful. Now, add some type of heroic act, saving a child from a buring building, pulling someone from a frozen lake, and many other scenarios. Who is to say that their purpose was not to save someone else, rather than many other things...Hold on, cause well, eventually it'll all work out. And consider this. We chose who we are, before coming here. We lived before as spirits and we will always do so. Life is a school!

  • The purpose of this physical life is to know God and live out his plan for us. It is simple but not easy
