High School Dropouts

High School Dropouts

Why is the world so hung up on the fact that they believe every kid that drops out of highschool is involved in drugs, some sort of criminal violence, or bored with school. I mean seriously do you really think that we drop out because we look forward to having a non-successful future? Im 16, and I had no choice but to drop out. Most families can't afford to send their kids to school. Even public school. I know a few drop outs including myself that we try to look up online courses so we dont fall behind in case we ever get the chance to return to school. but even then they dont allow you. you have to have your GED or diploma. its a bunch of BS personally. I get judged along with many others because of stuff I can't control. It shouldnt be like this.

  • you know, your right, it is a personal thing, whether you have control of it or not. I'm the only one of five that graduated, however, two others had no control over the circumstances leading to their not graduating. However, if you cannot go back do go get your GED and then study a field and then make your way. Best of Luck! And keep your chin up, k! :)

  • i just wanted to sya that i too dropped out of HS. i went on to get my GED. then i took my ACTs and went to college. all finances by me cuz my mom was sick and broke. i graduated at the top of my class and in the top 15% of the entire university. there are plenty of super smart kids who drop out for what ever reason, don't let that be a road block to your happiness and success you can still rock at whatever you want to do in this life, it may just take a couple of extra steps!
